Dr.Jhatka is a scientist who lives in Furfuri Nagar. He has a lab and in it works on and makes gadgets. He likes to find guinea pigs for his experiments and Motu usually becomes one. Ghasitaram also works with him in the lab. He is also a PhD doctor but does not treat his patients well so they run away from him. Mostly Motu or Patlu land in trouble due to his gadgets. He then has to make an antidote for them. Motu calls him Bare Bhaiya. He also has a flying car. He gives his gadgets to Motu Patlu(for various uses), Chingum(to arrest criminals) and the army(to help them fight better).

गिलहरी काम करते करते थक जाती थी तो सोचती थी कि थोडी आराम कर लूँ

वैसे ही उसे याद आता,

कि शेर उसे दस बोरी अखरोट देगा –

गिलहरी फिर काम पर लग जाती !



गिलहरी जब दूसरे गिलहरीयों को खेलते देखती थी तो उसकी भी इच्छा होती थी कि मैं भी खेलूं पर उसे अखरोट याद आ जाता,

और वो फिर काम पर लग जाती !



ऐसा नहीं कि शेर उसे अखरोट नहीं देना चाहता था, शेर बहुत ईमानदार था !



ऐसे ही समय बीतता रहा….

ब्रह्मारण्य नामक एक बन था। उसमें कर्पूरतिलक नाम का एक बलशाली हाथी रहता था।देह में और शक्ति में सबसे बड़ा होने से बन में उसका बहुत रौब था। उसे देख सारे बाकी पशु प्राणी उससे दूर ही रहते थे।जब भी कर्पूरतिलक भूखा होता तो अपनी सूँड़ से पेड़की टहनी आराम से तोड़ता और पत्ते मज़े में खा लेता। तालाब के पास जा कर पानी पीता और पानी में बैठा रहता। एक तरह से वह उस वन का राजा ही था। कहे बिना सब पर उसका रौब था। वैसे ना वह किसी को परेशान करता था ना किसी के काम में दखल देता था फिर भी कुछ जानवर उससे जलते थे।जंगल के भेड़ियों को यह बातअच्छी नहीं लगती थी। उन सब ने मिलकर सोचा, “किसी तरह इस हाथी को सबक सिखाना चाहिये और इसे अपने रास्ते से हटा देना चाहिये। उसका इतना बड़ा शरीर है, उसे मार कर उसका मांस भी हम काफी दिनोंतक खा सकते हैं। लेकिन इतने बड़े हाथी को मारना कोई बच्चों का खेल नहीं। किसमें है यह हिम्मत जो इस हाथी को मार सके?”

यह कहानी पुराने समय की है। एक दिन एक आदमी गुरु के पास गया और उनसे कहा, ‘बताइए गुरुजी, जीवन का मूल्य क्या है?’



गुरु ने उसे एक पत्थर दिया और कहा, ‘जा और इस पत्थर का मूल्य पता करके आ, लेकिन ध्यान रखना पत्थर को बेचना नहीं है।’

वह आदमी पत्थर को बाजार में एक संतरे वाले के पास लेकर गया और संतरे वाले को दिखाया और बोला, ‘बता इसकी कीमत क्या है?’

संतरे वाला चमकीले पत्थर को देखकर बोला, ’12 संतरे ले जा और इसे मुझे दे जा।’

वह आदमी संतरे वाले से बोला, ‘गुरु ने कहा है, इसे बेचना नहीं है।’

और आगे वह एक सब्जी वाले के पास गया और उसे पत्थर दिखाया। सब्जी वाले ने उस चमकीले पत्थर को देखा और कहा, ‘एक बोरी आलू ले जा और इस पत्थर को मेरे पास छोड़ जा।’

उस आदमी ने कहा, ‘मुझे इसे बेचना नहीं है, मेरे गुरु ने मना किया है।
